Me and my brother Ilmo Kapanen’s work was selected as a finalist in the Combine24 computational art competition hosted by the @finnishnationalgallery. This competition merges art and technology, using the Gallery’s collection data and blockchain technology.
Loom Of Reality is a study of the themes of identity, traditions, craft, past, and future within the framework of the current digital era and its creative tools. As the viewer follows the eternal weaving process, one can see the past, present, and future.
Our artwork is won in categories; the Jury Vote and the Audience Favourite. The artworks were displayed at Teollisuuskatu 9 exhibition space, from 20 September to 26 November 2024.
